about classes
please read before you book in or come to class
In the aid of clear understanding
- Class bookings and payment before commencement of classes is required. Some classes do fill quickly. To book a space in a class please contact Kriya on 02 4759 1939 or send an email to kriyamudra@bigpond.com. Your place is not confirmed until Kriya has responded and your payment has been received. Booking this space is for your place in a class for the duration of the term. If you miss a class it is possible to do a make up class/es at other classes on the timetable in that term only. You need to let Kriya know if you would like to do this for any class. If for some reason you decide not to attend the course please let Kriya know as soon as possible so that space may be freed up for someone else. So long as 24 hours notice cancellation of a space is received all funds paid will be refunded.
- Course fees are $126 (for a 9 week term/pro rata for shorter terms). Concessions are available for health care card holders. Fees are payable before the first class. Kriya's preference for payment is via eft (internet) direct deposit to nominated bank account prior to the first class. (bsb 484.799 a/c 600539350 : Suncorp) Please include your name in the payment reference field. A phone call or email to let Kriya know you have paid is also a good idea. The other alternative for payment is to send a cheque or money order made out to K Ponsford (or Mid Mountains Yoga) to 12 Poplar Grove Lawson NSW 2783. Once fees are paid and the term has commenced the fees are non refundable and non transferable. In extenuating circumstances an exception may be made, subject to Kriya's discretion.
- Casual attendance is not catered to, and it is normally not possible to join a class later than the 2nd or 3rd week of term. Classes progress and build through the term.

About the General class. these classes cater for new and ongoing students. New students will find they learn simple and effective techniques, laying foundations of yoga practice. Ongoing students will find new depth in the practices they revisit as well as widening their experience with new treasures. Classes typically run for about 1 1/2 hours. Generally a class is made up of a combination of asanas(postures and stretches), pranayama (breathing practices), yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation.
- What to wear and bring? Wear loose comfy clothing, and especially in winter layers for warmth. Bring a cushion or pillow, a yoga mat if you have one or a towel and bring a blanket or shawl for the relaxation and meditation practices. Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the start of class. Some venues are locked at start of class for the security of participants. Arriving before the class start time ensures the class can start on time, that there is no disruption to others and also means you have a few moments to gather yourself before the start of class.
- It is important Kriya is informed of any health issues that are ongoing or current at the time of each class.
- Every effort is made to accommodate every level of wellness and fitness.
- It is best to come to class with an empty or near empty stomach.
- Out of respect for others and so you gain the most from your class please leave mobile phones in your car, or turned off. In extenuating circumstances place your phone on silent/vibrate so others are not disturbed should the phone ring. If you must take a call please do so after you have left the room.
- This is your class. Please let Kriya know what you would like to gain from attending the class.
